Dr. John Bergeron was born in Galveston, Texas, and studied at San Marcus Baptist Academy. There, he graduated as his class Valedictorian. He then went on to receive the degree of Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University. His education culminated with the completion of his Medical Studies from University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston.

Dr. Bergeron has been a practicing doctor in Houston since 1993, and he was one of the first doctors in the United States to be trained to perform SmartLipo™. He is personally interested in the field of Medical Weight Loss and SmartLipo, Laser Liposuction.
